Halls Of Residence At The University Of Edinburgh: ... stayed in Pollock Halls during my first year - in Lee House to be exact - and found the whole experience to be positive in the main. The location of the halls was a slight concern to me when I first looked at it on a map - it seemed awfully far to get to the university buildings from the halls. 	Halls Of Residence At Coventry University in general ... my first year at coventry university, i stayed in Singer halls of residence. And by secretly judging other students accomodation, i thought singer halls was the best. The room: The rooms in singer were spacious and had a bed, a long desk, a wardrobe, shelves, cupboards, a sink and 2 chairs. The rooms were larger than other student accomodations i had seen. The bed however was a problem, they were on wheels! So if a group of you were sat on the bed watching a film, and were leaning agaisnt the wall, the bed would slowly but surely roll away! it was quite annoying! 	Halls Of Residence At The University Of Plymouth ... stayed at Gilwell, so this is what my review is based on. Gilwell apparently used to be an psychiatric ward before it was Uni halls and to be honest, not much has changed! I stayed from 2005-2006 and I have a few moans about the place. Firstly the rooms are tiny, I wasn t that fussed as I dont have a lot of possessions nor I was expecting a spacious flat! The price p/week for me then was £50 a week which is probably the best feature, it is definately the cheapest halls around (the price has almost certainly gone up now though). Gilwell has a strict guest policy; for those hoping to go to university to become independant and to be treated like more of an adult beware, ... 	Halls of Residence at Cardiff University in general ... Hall, what can I say? Situated in the cyncoed area of Cardiff (very very posh!) its is around 2 miles away from the University, which takes about 35 mins to walk to, however there are buses running every hour to and from the union and other University buildings which i wouldn t be without especially with the lovely welsh weather! The buildings themselves...ok Nevern and Tower could do with some updating but as for the rest of them they are just as good as talybont. The plus side of Nevern, where I am based is that the flats are usually filled with clearing/insurance place students so you are all in the same boat!
