As a seccond year student living in manchester i have seen some pretty shoddy sights in my life but when compared to the service i have recived at MSV for the last two years i wonder why i havent packed it in and gone home, a two hour commute every day is a small price to pay to get away from this prison.
In the first year a fault with my fire alarm meant i was woken once a week at three in the morning by a klaxon, and this year our cooker extractor fan trips the fuses up to three times a day. I wrote a stack of letters to management, only to be ignored.
Please please dont live at MSV! the show flat does not accuratley show the true horror of living in this hell hole, do not be seduced by the price or the sales pitch.

When I moved in it was like going to a prison the windows could only be opened a little bit, presumably to stop the suicide from the tenth floor which probably would have been a regular occurence due to the state of this place. This is the worst hall of residence I've ever seen. Compared with other halls, it looked relatively cheap. Why? Because of the low quality. The rooms are crap, the food for which we pay is poison, I had to go to the doctor thanks to that food. If any one is thinking about living there, think it first. And if you finally go, do not leave things ...

One of the most expensive halls in Manchester, located next to Cambridge Hall. The overall quality of the accommodation is not bad however you don’t get much for your money. There is a shared lounge/kitchen in each flat, with all the bedrooms on-suite. However because of the on-suite the size of the rooms are reduced. ...

A very trustworthy friend of mine had stayed at the Cambridge Halls of residence down in Manchester Metropolitan University. It's quite new & only been opened since last year though... The furniture is well furnished & all the equipments are new. Students from the 1st year are normally admitted to such halls & there exist north & ...
