Advantages: cleaners and en-suite facility
Disadvantages: expensive
I lived in Roeburn Halls of Residence last year whilst studying at UCLAN. People often referred to Roeburn as a hotel! They were not far wrong. With your own en-suite bathroom what more did you need? The en-suite facility is great, you cant beat it...never having to wait for someone else to finish in the bathroom, always being first in the shower...I miss it now! The one problem that we had last year was when we showered, the water went everywhere. It soaked the whole bathroom. This has been resolved this year, as they have added shower curtains! Another good point this year is that they now have cleaners. Last year, we had to make sure the communal area was tidy and clean for one inspection a term. So you can imagine that it was not very tidy at all. Now once a month cleaners come in to the flat and clean the cooker, surfaces, microwave and even Hoover the communal area. They do not come in to the individual rooms unfortunately! If you are thinking of coming to UCLAN, try your hardest to get in to Roeburn Halls. Although they are expensive, they are well worth it.
