Leazes Terrace (Accommodation in general)
Name: georgeaskew
Advantages: very nice Disadvantages: well its a student
Leazes Terrace is a large Georgian building consisting of Embleton House, Garnett House, Lake House and North Wing which have many of the characteristics and facilities of a self-catering hall of residence. Leazes Terrace offers convenient and central accommodation situated next to St James' Park, home of Newcastle United Football Club, and only a few minutes walk to all areas of the University as well as the bustling city centre. These houses, which are open all year, offer two distinct types of accommodation. On the one hand, there are undergraduate houses where students have all the benefits of self-catering at a budget price and in a communal environment. On the other hand, there are the recently refurbished postgraduate houses where the emphasis has been on upgrading facilities. Rooms are mostly en suite, and small groups of students share small kitchens and dining areas. Postgraduates may apply for either type of accommodation, but generally prefer the quieter dedicated postgraduate houses. Summary: |
