I was in Pollock halls in my 1st year and if you can you should definitely try and get into halls rather than University accommodation. There are some good accommodation places like Scheens and Hermits Croft, but the main disadvantage is that you don’t to choose who you get stuck with, and you meet far less people than in halls.
