The halls itself provides some en-suite facilities but not all of them.There are no lifts in robbins so when you get drunk, just think of the amount of stairs that you will have to walk up to get to your room. The rooms are quite standard in size, not too big, not too small.There is enought room in thew wardrobe for lots of clothes and a desk lamp is provided for all that late night studying.there are resident wardens that make sure you are adhereing to your part of the contract and if there are any problems there are the first person you go and see.I would definitaly reccommen... more

I live in Robbins Halls, it provideds homes for 430 students,we are all totally different people. the first day i arrived i wondered what i had let myself in for. i went down to the kitchen and met with my fellow housemates.They are all evry nice people and we have bonded really well. Plymouth is spending a great deal of effort and money on building student accomodation that students actually want to live in, which is important as not all students want to live in a slum. Although my experiences are a few years old now, i believe that the accomodation has become even better with another hall being built and more plans in the pipeline. I lived in the Robins Halls in my first year and they are one of the best examples of halls that I have seen. The Robins halls are around 5 years old and are split into a number of blocks all comprising of flats of between 5 and 8 people and include ensuite bathrooms, data points for computers, some satellite ...
