Over the two years I have spent at st Andrews I have had the delight of being able to maintain a place in the University accomodation. There are many different accomodation places on offer around St Andrews in many different halls, each hall is priced differently. Of these many halls I have stayed in two and visited most at some point. Here is a ...

Situated on the North Haugh, 10 minutes or less from the town centre (depending on how quickly you walk / stagger home) New Hall, is easy to spot from the main road heading into St Andrews. Firstly there is the location - probably about a 25 minute walk from most university buildings (when sober) and a long, long stagger back from the pub after a few. Secondly there is the building ...

David Russell is one of the biggest halls at St Andrews, and is generally acknowledged not to rate so highly as most of the others. The rooms are very small, and you are (unless very lucky) required to climb lots of flights of stairs to get to the rooms. This can be especially "fun" when moving in and out. Additionally the food is worse ...

University accommodation at St Andrews (208 words)

As a student at St Andrews University I have a good knowledge of accommodation in St Andrews. Andrew Melville Hall - This delightful Grade B listed building, set in six acres of scenic water gardens, boasts panoramic views of St Andrews and an abundance of wildlife. Melville is one of the most popular and friendly halls. I stayed there ...
