Advantages: Apart from Hampstead halls, all v.modern, Apart from Hampstead all on Perry Barr campus, All v.pleasant surroundings

Disadvantages: Hampstead short bus ride away

Ok i'm gonna do it simply. I only know the accomadation at Perry Barr and it falls into three areas: Oscott Gardens, The Coppice and Hampstead halls.

Oscott Gardens: Across the road from UCE. These are probably the nicest of all the halls. They,re split into small flats containing six bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms. Also a shared kitchen/dining/living area. They're very modern and fairly spacious theres a small parking area and securitys very good. The grounds the're set in ars very pleasent with plenty of grass for summer sunbathing!

The Coppice: I've not spent as much time here as the others but again its across he road from uni with six bedrooms again as a small flat unit. This time with no en-suite though! Shared bathrooms between three and kitchen/dining area. Again v.modern some flats back on to main A34 though so maybe a littl noise from traffic. Generally very nice though.

Hampstead: Hampstead is split into two types of accomadation. With small six bedroomed flats with shared kitchen/bathroom. These are not as modern as Oscott or Coppice but are equally v.nice. Theres more room for parking and security is good.

Now we have the main Hampstead halls. These used to be an old monastry so the story goes so I hope your not affraid of ghosts! These halls are not as nice as others but everyone I know thats lived in them has had a brilliant time...?! Hampstead halls and flats are set on lovely old fashioned grounds with huge trees and lots of grass its a extreemly pleasant setting. Oops forgot to mention these halls are a five min bus journey away although it is possible to walk most are just lazy!

I think more halls are planned to be developed by 2003 which is unlucky as i'll have left then!

Sorry i've been helpfully reminded to mention that the above halls that I have commented on are all about 10mins (or less)journey from Birmingham city centre. Sorry for forgetting the most obviou
s thing!!!

I lived in Hampstead Halls, and it was the time of my life. I lived in the old monastry and my heart sunk when i first saw it but it was the best. It's just corridors with rooms on either side, but you meet loads of people, good view lizzie0682, where did you live.
collingwood21 or Sharon as i like to think of you. Dear the halls are 10 mins from Brum town centre, about a £8 cab ride, and don't let them rip you off love!! And yes you are right in thinking Birmingham, as the uni is called,'University of Central England in BIRMINGHAM'
