Advantages: Best accomodation

Disadvantages: Most expensive (but not by much)

This is for all of you wondering which accomodation to go for on the Hatfield campus. Well... quite simply.. Telford Court. It's the nicest, and granted most expensive accomodation the campus has to offer. But it beats the other halls by miles (I'll probably get a beating for this.. heheh). It's a set of flats, typically 8 per block. Usually two flats per floor. Luckily for me, I made friends with everybody from my flat and the flat nextdoor so there was a really cool atmosphere. Each flat (typically) consists of 6 rooms, 2 showers, 1 toilet, 1 shower+toilet and 1 kitchen. The kitchen comes with an electric oven and grill, microwave, kettle and toaster. Plenty of space for communal pissups. The rooms themselves are nice too. Each room has a bed, 2 chairs, a sink, a desk, some shelves and a wardrobe. About 4 electrical sockets and 1 TV socket. There's a phone in the kitchen which you can use to phone other flats or off-campus if you have an ACC card. You can squeeze in about 15 people into a room for watching late night showings of Knightrider.
The other accomodation on campus consists of halls (loads of rooms per kitchen), houses (Roberts Way, small isolated houses for 6 people... very boring) or portacabins (Roehyde).
I know Telford is the most expensive, but it's worth the extra money as there is a great difference between it and the 2nd most expensive accomodation.
See you down the bar!

I studied in the university of Hertfordshire and I can say that accamodations are pretty good. At least I can talk about Hertford and Hatfield which is main campus. In Hertford, there are three diffirent accomdations, namely, Ashbourne, Sele Mill and Dane Court. One is Ashbourne Houses and it is very close to the uni. Furnitures are older than those in Sele Mele and Dane Court but rooms are pretty large. Generally undergradute students live there.
Sele Mele is 25 minutes from the uni by walking. Furnitures and rooms are pretty new. Dane Court is 20 minutes to the uni. It consists of just one building but if you make friends there it is just like crowded family staying there. Rooms are pretty larger there. If you don't wanna walk, don't choose Sele Mill, although it is comfortable, some rooms are pretty small.
