Advantages: Hertford Campus :Rooms in Dane Court are large, In Sele Mele , furnitures are new, Ashbourne is so close to uni.

Disadvantages: Hertford Campus: Sele Mill and Dane Court is about 20 minutes from the uni.

I studied in the university of Hertfordshire and I can say that accommodations are pretty good. At least I can talk about Hertford and Hatfield, which is main campus .
HERTFORD: There are three different accommodations, namely, Ashburn, Sele Mill and Dane Court. One is Ashbourne Houses and it is very close to the uni. Furniture’s are older than those in Sele Mele and Dane Court but rooms are pretty large. Generally undergraduate students live there.
Sele Mele is 25 minutes from the uni by walking. Furniture’s and rooms are pretty new. Dane Court is 20 minutes to the uni. It consists of just one building but if you make friends there it is just like crowded family staying there. Rooms are pretty larger there. If you don't want to walk, don't choose Sele Mill, although it is comfortable, some rooms are pretty small.
HATFIELD: Hatfield is main campus of the University of Hertfordshire. Campus is very big. There are different accommodation choices in Hatfield; Tellford Court, Halls, Robertsway Houses, De Havilland House and flats in university Halls. Also you can stay in the university properties off campus. Generally students can live in campus only for the first year. After first year you have to find a flat, which can be university properties, or not. You should find friends who you can share your flat with.

A useful review.. and your general information on train times etc. will be useful to the new freshers questioning where Hatfield even is.

Although seriously, I would have to question anyone that said:

"Attr activeness of the city/town? High"

about Hatfield.

and :

"Universi ty transport facilities? AVERAGE "

when the University is the only one in the country to RUN it's own specific bus service.

Good info generally - but don't expect Hatfield to look like a rose garden anyone.
