Advantages: All accommodation is on campus

Disadvantages: You are only guaranteed accommodation in your first year

The best thing about the accommodation at the University of Warwick is that it is all on one campus and you are never more than a 10 minute walk away from anywhere else on the campus. When I was visiting other Universities I found that often the accommodation could be miles away from the University and this is one of the things that led me to choose Warwick. There is a large choice of accommodation at various prices including shared rooms, rooms with inclusive meals, en-suite rooms and flats. All first years are guaranteed campus accommodation and although in the second year you have to live off campus in either Coventry of Leamington Spa some third years can return to campus for their final year.

I stayed in the Jack Martin residences in my first year. Each room has its own bathroom and kitchens are shared by between 10 and 13 people. The rooms are a reasonably large although mine was larger than most as it was directly above one of the disabled persons rooms. The halls were better than some of the others that I saw although all the best accommodation is saved for the post-graduate students.

If you live in Westwood it's about a half an hour walk to the maths campus at Gibbet Hill; otherwise I agree with it all! You get, pretty much, what you pay for.
