Advantages: Location, get food, you can say you live in a castle Disadvantages: read my review
These other reviews are misleading. All though Castle Leazes halls is best for location and meeting loads of people, sadly it is also frankly crap. Do not come here if you value your freedom, especially after a gap year because it is very claustrophobic. Nearly everyone is a first year. All 1050 people have to walk in and out of the same door, with people checking who you are. It is designed like a prison. It is not at all homely. It is way too expensive and loads of the facilities are kept locked up or don't work. 95% of foreigners are segregated even if they have lived in England for years. The management staff do not listen. The wardens do not help. We are constantly bombarded with flyers and posters from cheap commercial tacky clubs. The good clubs don't advertise here because they don't want this crowd. The rooms are tiny. Summary: |
