LouisaNott Halls Of Residence At De Montfort University
... you start reading this opinion, I should let you know that this opinion is ONLY about the halls of residence in DeMontfort Leicester Scraptoft campus. I went for an interview there, and had to make a decision between a course there and a course in Birmingham, and decided against DeMontfort on the basis of two issues, totally unrelated to the course. The halls of residence at Scraptoft seem OK on the outside, a little grey and elderly, but nonetheless nicer than many halls I've seen in the past. Also, the rent is cheap, at £61 per week with food. stephen2001 Butler Court
... I received my accommodation preference sheet when I had my offer, I wanted to go self-catering so promptly had a look at which each hall had to offer. When I saw that Butler Court only offered shared rooms, I crossed it off as a no-no straight away. Because I did not get into my first choice of course, I accepted another course they offered me knowing that I would at least be put into a hall where as going through clearing, nothing was certain. A week before coming here, the accommodation details came through saying that I would be in Butler Court. My heart obviously sank. Now that I'm here, I'm glad that they did put me in Butler Court, as the hall spir...

oopsy-daisy The Maltings
... The Maltings is found in a suburb called Basford, which is 2 and a half miles out of Nottingham city centre and the university. In the surrounding areas there are about 5 pubs,an indian and chinese take-away,a laundrette,a newsagents and a few beauty/hairdressing salons which pretty much gives a student what they would want, without having to go in the city centre. To get the city you would have to take a bus ride into the the city, or get dropped off nearby the university. The bus ride costs about 50p return, although you can get a terms buspass when you get to the university. The bus stop is literally a footstep away from the halls which is quite convenient, but the...
