Advantages: Make more mates, independence and party

Disadvantages: Getting on the bad side, not concentrating

Living in halls is certainly one of the best experiences one could have. Its insane as you get to experience student life which is certainly one of the best times of your life. If you are living in halls you are usually sharing a flat with other students. These flats may consist of 4-18 people depending on the size of accommodation. There is usually a choice of en-suite accommodation for students.

These flats may consist of 4-18 people depending on the size of accommodation. There is usually a choice of en-suite accommodation for students however this is slightly more expensive. The best thing about living in halls is that you get to make lots of new friends, have lots of random chats in the middle of the night with your flat mates, learn to cook, fire drills waking you up in the morning (yes unfortunately this does happen) amongst many other crazy doings.

If you are considering living in halls you must be aware that there are different types of halls available. By this I mean you can get ones for girls, boys, mixed housing etc. Also some maybe flats, others maybe houses which are also student accommodation, this is something you may wish to take into consideration.

I get to see my mates whenever and can even chat, gossip, make food together and help with studies. But it can be noisy at times when people come home getting drunk from clubs and parties. Its good living out if you got the right company to hang around with and if you are detemined to work harder or else its just wasting £90 a week on rent and £25 on food/books/socialising.

Well, personally I think all the halls of residence are same around the UK since they are governed by the university itself. They got similar features and equipment available. The only different thing about every halls of residence its the mates. Some are good some are bad.

Summary: Its worth living out atleast 1 year of your university experience.

I'm afraid this could be about anywhere and doesn't tell me anything about halls at Brum. Sorry.
