Don't live here!!! It's awful. Between the fact that my room had leaks, the power did not work, the catered food was unhealthy and did not taste like anything I would not recommend it. Leicester's student accomodation was nothing like I expected. Instead of dimly-lit, breize-blocked cells in dingy tower blocks, I was pleasantly surprised to see bright, well-furnished rooms in pleasant grounds and in a pretty posh area, too. The university of leicester offers a variety of Halls. From your fully catered to your couple self catered flats. The fully catered halls, Villiers, Digby, Beaumont, Stamford are all situated in the posh residential area of Oadby, set in beautiful countryide. Some of Leicester's halls of accomodation are grand. They're composed of old victorian houses which have been converted into many large rooms for their occupants, but sadly these halls are located about 3 miles from the university.
