This is really for the Bramall Court halls of residence at the University of Salford. I've been in the others and wasn't too impressed so very pleased I chose to live here for the first year. ----AREA AND LOCATION---- Being in Salford where ever you are is bound to have problems along the line somewhere. Located just off Silk Street (not far from Chapel Street), the position of Bramall Court is very good in terms of the distance both to the University and into the city centre of Manchester. I am first year studying at Salford uni! Im studying aeronauhtical engineering and enjoying my time at salford! Jus because im doing engineering does not mean im a geek, im out on getting drunk at least once a week but usualy 2-3 times. Having read some of the reviews i wanted 2 post an upto date review. Firstly there are some rough minging urban decayed bits of salford - however i have been to far worse in birmingham! I am currently living on castle irwell, which does look a bit like a prison but in fact is actuly more like butlins, cheap and cheerful! After the 5 hours travelling in the back of my dads Volkswagen, I wish I sould say that I was glad to see Salford. We found the accommodation office and popped in to pick up the contract for my student digs, only to be greeted by a seemingly endless queue of fresher's doing the same! But, eventually we reached the front, and I was told that I had not been given any of my chosen halls of residence, but they had found a lovely property called Rosehill Court for me to spend my first year in.
