If you're thinking about coming to UCN and want to live in Halls, I'll share my experiences of living in Halls here with you. I'm a first year living in William Carey Hall, which are the most expensive Halls to live in, but come with Internet access for a flat sum of £80 a year. I'm in a flat with 5 other people. We all have our own bathrooms ensuite to the room and we share a kitchen. I would say that what we're paying at the moment (£61 a week) is about right for our standard of halls, but if you're not planning to spend that much money and stagger all the way down the hill to get home after a night out, then perhaps one of the other ...  Read the complete review

If you are going to live in halls at Northampton (which I strongly suggest you do) you basically have three choices. Firstly there are the old blocks of John Clare and the like where the rent is about £35 a week. For this you get nine people to a flat sharing one small kitchen and two bathrooms. You are also opposite the union, which is great for freshers week and a pain in the ass for the rest of the year. If you have the money my advice to you is to live elsewhere. The next big hall is margaret bondfield, which is tucked into one corner of the campus.
