Kirkstall Brewery is lovely, but boy do you pay for it! I am in an en suite room which is costing me £96 a week. On the Leeds Met website it says that it's only a 20 minute walk away, but it takes a good 40 minutes, and by the time I get there I'm all sweaty. The SU bar is NOT cheap, unless its a special night like themed work etc. It's lovely, the rooms are enough and the kitchen is more than enough, but in my building, there are no living rooms or common rooms. Kirkstall Brewery. Converted recently into student flats with rooms for over 1000 students this is the place to stay for a first year student going to Leeds Met. The complex has its own bar (essential for all students) laundry (essential for most) gym, snooker room, shop, large screen TV showing all the footie matches and canteen for those who can't be bothered to cook. The flats accommodate between four and six people and all are double-glazed and central heated with good sized bedrooms and a communal kitchen eating/area.
