Daniel Accommodation in general: ... - It s in the centre of london; close to the city. Good transport links. Good security. They collect your parcles; so you don t need to wait in for anything. You are prity much guarenteed to make friends. They employ people incase you get locked out. Dissadvantages- Their office closes really early. They collect your parcles; so if find out you have a parcle after office hours you need to wait till mornin...

... off I must stated that I have not lived at the halls, but had visited friends there a few times and stayed there for about 2 weeks. I will be commenting on Clayhill Halls which I had stay in. This hall is in the middle of no where, there is very little transport into or out of the halls. There is a university run shutter bus, but that does not run too regularly or too late into the night. So if you want to go out at night in a heavy snow storm, tough luck! Its about 1 mile to walk to the nearest train station. ... throughout the night which adds to the general prison feel of the halls. It s not easy having overnight guests which is a pain, you have to fill out a request form a day in advance. All day guests have to be out by midnight or you get threatened with fines or banned from having guests completely. There are other annoying things, like why do cleaners have to come and clean the kitchens every single weekday? Especially when they then don t come at all at weekends. It may sound petty but they move all your stuff to clean the surfaces and it s hard making breakfast when someone s mopping the floor. And this being central London you still pay a lot to live here....

nicorebel Accommodation in general
... resided in many a student dig in London. I observed that prisoners (mostly the scurge of society) must live in better conditions than us as student digs are not regulated/monitored whatsoever. All my landlords were greedy fat pigs, charging excessive rents, providing us with manky (no doubt extracted from skips) furniture and not repairing the house. Once landlady painted over a crack with paint and her fire alarms did not work. It appears to me they are happy to take our money but not provide us with a house that is fit to live in. Plus many of my landlords made us pay extra for bills, did not provide a living room and any thing extra, really stingey. Anyway my first...
