angie_la_la Accommodation in general
... At the Harrow Campus of Westminster University, there are only about 450 rooms available. These being very modern and nice halls (only just been built a few years ago) the demand for a space in halls here is HUGE! When you can, apply for a place in Halls as soon as possible, or else you will wind up like myself and other people with nowhere to go. Although the university tries its best to help the poor students that didn’t get a room some degree of help, it is VERY stressful finding somewhere to live, especially so close to when the term starts. ... the first to write anything in this category I thought it might be useful to provide people with a quick summary of those sites that I know anything about. You can get the full list of accommodation available from the King's website (http://www.kcl.ac.uk). If you can't find it, simply search for accommodation. Brian Creamer House SE1 - All I know about this place is that it's dead hard to get into, but if you do get into it... lucky you. Hampstead Campus NW3 Biggest plus for this place was its size (587 students) th...

... lived in the Thomas Spencer Halls of residence located in Woolwich, SE London in my 2nd year of uni. Our halls have 6 floors with 30 students living on each. As with any halls it is full of characters, notorious for scum, meals unfit for human consumption and the rest of it. The attractions of living in the halls, in my opinion outnumbered the downsides of living there. I aim to highlight the good points and bad points of living in the halls. Ł70 rent was huge sum to live in conditions beyond those of prisons. The prison imagery was rife. The rooms were narrow, with thin brick white walls. The kind one cannot pin posters (much needed) to the wall. Moreover o...
