Halls Of Residence At The University Of Durham:
... m writing this review from a hall of residence in Durham so I have first hand experience of this! The College of St Hild and St Bede is my college and it s halls of residence are very nice. The College of St Hild and St Bede has 4 main halls, and some minor smaller halls. The college was originally two colleges which merged in 1975 so the main halls are Hild and Bede, with smaller halls being Christopher and Thorp... Halls Of Residence At The University Of Sunderland ... of Sunderland has a wide range of student halls, one to suit everybody, and there s enough to almost ensure that any student can stay in halls for the full three years. I myself stayed in The Precinct for my first 2 years and loved it. Many people complain that the rooms somewhat resemble prison cells. Yes, they do. But you know, a few posters here and there along with some photographs and, call it home! For the 2 years that I lived there the location was ideal. You literally walked out the gate, past the pub (which handily was right next door) and you were at Uni. You could roll out of bed at 8.55am and still be early! The reason I chose the precinct origina... Read the full review: Life in the Precinct by bluetones_girl |

Castle Leazes Halls ... spent this last year at Castle Leazes I have found it to have a lot to offer first year students at Newcastle. Castle Leazes is so close to the university and the town centre which makes it easy to get around without getting lost. it also saves alot of money on travel as everything is in easy walking distance. The quayside is only a twenty minute walk away, and nothing is much further away than that. Other than the location, Castle Leazes offers the biggest source of accomodation in halls in the area and therefore gives you plenty of opportunity to meet new people, and in the first week this is so easy as there are always people walking around. The laundrette is ... Read the full review: Castle Leazes by Lowsy |

Castle Leazes Halls ... other reviews are misleading. All though Castle Leazes halls is best for location and meeting loads of people, sadly it is also frankly crap. Do not come here if you value your freedom, especially after a gap year because it is very claustrophobic. Nearly everyone is a first year. All 1050 people have to walk in and out of the same door, with people checking who you are. It is designed like a prison. It is not at all homely. It is way too expensive and loads of the facilities are kept locked up or don't work. 95% of foreigners are segregated even if they have lived in England for years. The management staff do not listen. The wardens do not help. We a... Read the full review: Castle Leazes by |
