Halls Of Residence At Manchester Metropolitan University in general:
... am in my second year of university life and now have a greater feel to what accomaddation there is to offer. Last year (07/08) I stayed in the Wilmslow park mmu owned accomadation..and if there is one thing i did learn is how people try anything to get hold of your money. Trouble with key fobs, internet and deposit payments all led me to this conclusion. It wasnt that i ad to pay for these in the first place...it w... There are warning asbestos signs in most doorways which is quite concerning! Each room has a sink, bed, wardrobe, desk, and drawers in it. The beds and matresses are uncomfortable. I ve been in many halls and these are in no way the worst but they are also a lot worse than others. They are cleaned weakly by cleaners (usually early in the morning after a rough night) although the lady that did my floor was f... Victoria Hall ... expect any customer service let alone good customer service the staff aint heard of it. Trying to get somthing fixed or replaced is a complete joke and if they dont want to do something they ll make up an excuse. the kitchen is tiny and the living room is resonable enough but there is not enough room to sit 4 around the table. definaly not enough cuboard space for 4 (which is the average flat size). the sofa and chairs are a throw back to a 90 s primary school. extremely uncomfortable. dont expect anything good from the supplied eqipment either, the pots will rust through in no time and the cutlery is likey to fall apart after no time at all. the ensuite is usefu... Victoria Hall ... hall provides student accommodation. That s it. They also try and extract as much money from you as possible and believe their word to be true. If you re looking for a good "student" lifestyle in your first year DO NOT BOTHER with Victoria. I was at the one in Leicester and found their management arrogant, nasty and disrespectful of anyone s beliefs. They have ridiculous rules and give you NO room for lenience. On one occasion, on the same day that I d had a break up with my boyfriend and my sister was in hospital, I had friends round trying to make me feel better watching Jeremy Kyle in my room, the "landlady" (management person probably ac...
