Rootes residences are among the cheapest halls at Warwick, with single non-ensuite rooms (which count for the majority) currently at £54.50 per week. There are 4 main blocks- 2 of which are 'Old' Rootes (ugly white buildings) and 2 of which are 'New' Rootes (much nicer brick buildings with landscaped lawns in between). Old Rootes ... I am now approaching the end of my time in rootes and it has been the best year of my life so far. The main reason for that is the atmosphere. I spent my PGCE year living in Tocil Flats. It was excellent for convenience as it is very close to the centre of the campus. The shops are only a 2 minute walk and so are all the universiry facilities such as the library, Student Union and academic buildings. The Sports Centre is also very close by. Rootes is a halls of residence (which means you have loads of people all living in a similar layout to a hotel).
