Halls Of Residence At Glasgow University in general ... Street student halls are just a ten minute stroll away from Glasgow University campus. The route takes you right through the middle of attractive and leafy Kelvingrove Park via Kelvin Way; a reasonably well-lit road and path with lovely views of Kelvingrove Museum, the River Kelvin and of course, the ancient University buildings themselves that tower above it looking all photogenic. Kelvinhaugh Street is dominated by a large cluster of Student flats/apartments on both sides of the street, with Kelvinhaugh Gate Halls and Cairncross Halls on the same street. Let me assure you that the maps are deceptive. At the most, the walk from Pollock Halls to George Square takes about 10-15 minutes - if you walk incredibly slowly, perhaps a little longer. The best thing about the location is that it is so close to Arthur s Seat, a large dormant volcano that forms a picturesque setting in the centre of the city, and Holyrood Park, the green a... Halls Of Residence At The University of Stirling ... halls Of Residence at the University of Stirling are not on a par with the other top Universities around Scotland. In terms of the individual halls they range from the likes of AKD and ASH which are pretty decent all the way to Geddes which is very poor. All of the halls boast smalls rooms in comparison to what you generally find at other Scottish Universties to the extent that in some of the smallest rooms a 6 foot tall person could virtually touch from one side of the room to the other. The kithens however are not too bad and offer good communal areas and decent cooking facilities. As negative as i have been about the halls at Stirling if you are lucky enough to get...
