Tis is a review on charlotte court. its really hard to find information online about it and going to see them is a hassle... so read on!
How many people are in the flat?
6 people live in each flat.
How far is it to town? Do you walk or get the bus? How much does it cost?
Its 10 minutes walk or a bus will cost you 60p and take 5 minutes.
What's good about living in these Halls?
They are in a great location with everything within walking distance. They are also the cheapest halls that Sheffield Hallam do!
What do you need to bring with you? eg bedding, cooking equipment
You will need to everything! Only the cooker, fridge/freezer, and kettle are supplied. This means you will need your own bedding too!
Where are the nearest supermarkets?
There are 3 Sainsburys all 10 minutes walk and a Netto 2 minutes walk away. Ont the out skirt of Sheffield (10minutes drive) there is a huge 24 hour Asda too!
Do you get TV included or the internet?
Nope, these arer extra. You will need to bring a PC or TV if you want to. Then you will have to pay for the bills- either internet or Tv licence.
How much is it a week/month/term? Does that include water, electric etc?
Prices vary year on year so the best thing to do is look at the accommodation website! Before you get here you'll get a chance to pay your years fuel off in a £250 energy bond. What you dont use comes back to you at the end of the year!
Do the Halls organise any activities for residents?
At the beginning the halls run regular bar crawls and events for you to get to know the area really well. After the hype has calmed down so do these. By then however you know all the best places!
I would recommend these halls to all Hallam go'ers. Their in an amazing location, cheap, and quite new and smart!
Summary: Great for freshers!
