k_dc2pm Glen Eyre Hall of Residence: ... I applied online, in anticipation to live in this accomodation as a fresher, I was excited, impressed and thought the best accomodation available, considering the catering and the distance options Glen Eyre offered. I was in the same block as the reception. The first impression was that the room was small , but I had not seen other rooms in other cities, so I couldn t really judge it - my room was just enough...

destiny2909 Halls Of Residence At The University Of Reading
... have spent 4 years sampling the delights of the University of Reading halls. I spent my first 3 years as an undergrad living in Childs Hall on Whiteknights campus. Childs is absolutely fine, as long as you aren t too fussy and don t mind living in an environment where everything just looks a little bit past its best. My room was pretty much as basic as they come, without even a sink, but the way I saw it, was that if I had to leave my room to use the communal toilets and shower, what difference did the sink make? I decided to save myself a few hundred quid a year and go sink-free. The rooms themselves were basic but comfortable and all carpeted. They had everything...

ldaniels69 Halls Of Residence At The University Of Portsmouth
... are 3 different locations to chose from to begin with, these are the langstone campus, Rees and Burrel halls, and the guildhall halls. All offer different qualities. First of all the langstone campus is quite far way from the main university and the city centre however this issue can be resolved as there is a free university bus service which goes around all day on weekdays untill late and is free for students to use. Also these halls are the only halls where parking is available, so if you wish to bring a car you will have to chose a hall from here. There are a mix of self catering/ part catered and self catering, like wise a choice of ensuite or not. There is a ...

Gunnar+Mallon Glen Eyre Hall of Residence
... I had read the previous review about Glen Eyre Halls, I thought it must be the perfect place to move to during my first year. I have since moved 3 times within the Halls, unable to get out of my rent agreement!! Here is a little list of things that are wrong with this place: - Very poorly maintained (Fungus, Draughts, Mold, Very little water pressure in showers) - Although the halls advertise with a weekly cleaning service, I do believe that it would be better if the underpaid undermotivated and undertrained cleaning staff would not show up. The place is filthy as hell!! - Sluggish responses from the amateur wardenal team (mainly comprised of students) and the less-...
