Kirkstall Brewery Student Residences ... Brewery is lovely, but boy do you pay for it! I am in an en suite room which is costing me £96 a week. On the Leeds Met website it says that it s only a 20 minute walk away, but it takes a good 40 minutes, and by the time I get there I m all sweaty. The SU bar is NOT cheap, unless its a special night like themed work etc. It s lovely, the rooms are enough and the kitchen is more than enough, but in my building, there are no living rooms or common rooms. Advantages: security on hand 24h and if anything in the flat is broken, its max 24 hours til they come fix it. Also bills included in rent, and free internet. Disadvantages: can be loud at 3am when everyone ... Read the full review: not bad, not good. by Sam |

Halls Of Residence At The University Of Leeds ... my first year at University I stayed at Clarence Dock halls. They are at the bottom of town, next to the canal. My room had a canal view and I woke up to the ducks quacking every morning. The downside to the hall is that you have to get the bus or walk for 45 mins to get to uni, uphill. The great thing is that its really close to town so great for going out or going shopping. Its also in an up and coming trendy area so there are loads of new bars and resturants. Security is good, you have to have a card and a key to get into both the main gate, your block and your flat. Its obviously noisy as there are lots of students wanting to have fun. The rooms arent soundproofed... Read the full review: Halls with a canal view by mizzy |

Halls Of Residence At The University Of Sheffield ... was lucky enough to earn myself a place at the university of sheffield in 2007 and applied to be in university Self-catered accomodation. After a year of living there it became like a second home to me. When applying for accomodation at a university there are a number of different things to ask yourself: 1. catered or self-caterd? This was quite an easy decision for me as I love cooking my own food and so I immediatly knew i wanted to be self-catered. This gave me the freedom to eat what i liked when i liked, and didn t make me feel like i was loosing money if i went out for a meal (as i didn t have one pre-paid for). The other good thing is that if you re caref... Read the full review: Applying for Accomodation and Sheffield University by heather149 |
