      spooky toy

As if it wasn't scary enough having a regular dalek zooming around chasing you, there exists a Dalek Sec. This is like a half Dalek and half human hybrid. If you take the Daleks' lids off, then they have these alien-like faces underneath. Not very pleasant to look at, they are one of the oddest looking things to have graced Doctor Who.

The Dalek Sec made a proper appearance in the newer series of Doctor Who and the the popularity of the character resulted in a toy being produced by Character Options. There are well over one hundred figures in the range so far.

On initial inspection, Dalek Sec looks like the Master crossed with an Ood. He is smartly dressed in a suit, which has intricate patterning on it and also some odd looking smear marks. When I got my figure I thought I had a dodgy one, but all the Dalek Secs have these smear marks over them. The suit hugs him tightly and his jacket fits neatly around his slimline torso.

The legs are slender and accompanied by a smart pair of shoes, he looks like he is ready to go off for a business meeting! The talking point is the wonderful head though, with tentacles spouting out from the crest of the head and covering the cheek area. His squid-like face is ugly and curious to look at. You can twist the head and make him look in different directions. The arms can be moved up and down and you can also move the legs, so you can sit him down.

Why not stage a face-off with him and the Doctor and a real Dalek. There are so many characters, that the play scenarios are vast. He stands at just over five inches and is easy to get hold of too. Expect to pay up to five pounds for a figure.
