      solid figure

Look it's Christopher Eccleston with a loose arm! Well it's not his arm, it actually belongs to an Auton. This is an action figure of the Chris Eccleston Dr Who and is one of the earlier releases. I bought mine last year from an online auction site for a few pounds, but you can still buy them boxed and they should only cost around six pounds.

This is a five inch figure and is made from plastic. The toy has limbs that move, which includes the head, arms and legs, allowing you to seat the figure or strike dynamic poses.

The look of this toy is rather bland though and that is down to the costume. Eccleston's Doctor is clad purely in black so he is not the best figure to look at for long periods of time. That said, the costume design is accurate and the leather jacket looks smart and hangs with pride. His slacks are casual and hug well and the figure does look kind of hot in a hunky way!

Chris' skin colour is quite pale and this has been reflected on this figure, though he does seem a little too pale for my liking. The facial features look good though with neat eyes and a good hair match too, which has been neatly constructed and shaped over the head with the high forehead in place too.

The extras that come with this figure are the Auton arm, a bomb and a Mickey head, making it quite a decent package of extras for fans. The parts are pretty small and prone to getting lost though. In terms of desirability, this figure is one I would deem mediocre because of the attire, but from a collector's point of view, you have to appreciate that it is a Doctor.
