      super figure

The Hoix is one of the newer monsters from the show 'Doctor Who'. I am still awaiting the return of the Hoix, as it has been one of the most visually exciting characters in recent years. Luckily for fans, the character was turned into an action figure by Character Options. With over one hundred figures in their line up, fans can build up a collection of five inch figures and create their own Doctor Who universe.

The Hoix is made from plastic and can be posed at his head, arms and legs, so there is plenty of movement to be had from this toy. The reason this one is one of the best toys in the range is down to the sheer level of detail. The sculpting on the Hoix is so intricate and deeply layered that you could spend a good few minutes absorbing the colours and textures on the face alone. A superb jawline and scary features give him a savage look and the teeth look shocking! Some texturing on his head gives him further character and the way the mouth is agape is threatening.

His costume is part armour and part scaly skin and the armour is weathered and grips the shoulders, torso and lower leg area. There is some strong definition on the armour which brings it to life and I love the chunky allure of the plating. Likewise, the scaly skin is coloured with many vivid colours and the blending is excellent and vibrant.

Hoix comes with no extras and can be bough loose for about three pounds online or boxed for about seven pounds. Visually stunning, strong limbs and sturdy joints make this a must have figure and probably in my top ten of figures in the line up.
