~*~ Peppa Pig Camp Fire Set ~*~
Peppa pig is a well known cartoon character , along with her brother George , Mummy Pig, and Daddy Pig and whole range of animal friends they feature in cartoons, dvds, books, on clothes, bedding, and backpacks there isn't much you can't buy without Peppa Pig especially in the toy department.
~*~ In The Set ~*~
The set comes in a plastic see through tube similar in size to a pringle tube. The set contains a Peppa, a George, and a camp fire.
Peppa is wearing a yellow dress rather than her trademark red dress, and is 5 cm tall when standing. She is able to stand and sit unaided.
George is wearing a cute little green outfit with tie, similar to a cub or scout uniform, being the younger brother George is 3.5 cm high when stood. He can also stand and sit unaided despite being tiny.
The camp fire comes in 2 pieces , the fire which is mounted on green base and made to look like hot bricks surrounded by grey pebbles, and a tiny silver cooking pot with food inside.
~*~ In Play ~*~
My daughter has had this set since before she was 3, the little figures are a perfect size for toddler hands and despite the size they are durable both pigs are still fully working and have their arms and legs. The only noticeable wear is a small amount on the paintwork , Peppa's dress has some fading on the back hem , probably from being sat down in play, and George's tail has lost the green paint which forms his jacket , but the tail is pink so it looks fine.
What's good about the figures is how easy they sit and stand, resulting in no frustrated children which can only be a good thing.
There are a few episodes of the Peppa Pig cartoon that feature camping, my daughter has always loved playing along , whether it be while watching the cartoon and making her figures copy, or using the story as a starting point and taking the figures off on her own adventure.
They would also make great cake decorations.
~*~ Thoughts ~*~
We have had this set over 3 years now, I was lucky enough to pick it up in the Sainsbury's half price toys sale and only paid around £3 , which is what the set is really worth as once the packaging is discarded what is left is very small, and at £7 ( currently on Amazon) they are too expensive at full price.
My daughter at 6 is now growing out of Peppa pig, and Peppa is not 1st choice at play time anymore, but any mention of maybe finding Peppa a new home and suddenly they hold her interest again.
So we have definitely had our monies worth at half price.
