The Stephanie figure is from the very popular children's television programme Lazytown. Made by Fisher Price with a recommended age of 3+, Stephanie is a poseable toy and comes with a radio, a handbag and a megaphone. She is very colourful and when you press the button on her front her legs and arms will move and she will say some popular character quotes. Her accessories can be easily attaché don to her hands.
This Stephanie doll is very easy to play with, she is easy to clean and comes in hard plastic form. Her quotes are genuine quotes from the TV programme and her voice is (or sounds like) the characters voice. She is very colourful and the accessories are very relevant to the character she plays. The box she comes in is also very eye catching, as is everything relating to Lazytown and she encourages active and imaginative play.
We actually got this action figure for my son who was a big Lazytown fan. He already had the Sportacus figure and when he saw the Stephanie doll in the shop was adamant that we got it for him. Not the kind of toy you would normally buy for a boy but then if you have a die-hard Lazytown fan who already has the Sportacus action figure then why not? It encouraged my son to play with them, re-create scenes from the TV programme and to dance around.
I was shocked at the price advertised; when I got this toy a year ago I only paid £10 for it. I guess it is very popular and the price has gone up accordingly. Not sure I would pay so much for it as it now lives in the bottom of a toy box but it has lasted, the voice still works and sounds as good as new. It did provide some fun times for my son and he only stopped playing with it because he grew out of Lazytown and is now in to Ben 10. I would keep the accessories away from any children under 3 as they are a bit too small.
A while ago now my daughter was totally obsessed with lazy town. I can remember trying to find bits and bobs to buy for her but considering the show was fairly undiscovered there wasn't much available. I was pleased when I seen the lazy town Stephanie figure in Asda.
The box is basic yellow with a picture of Stephanie on the front. It has a clear plastic section that enables you to see the doll inside.
The doll is made from a very durable plastic. It can survive many of drops and will not smash. The character is exact to Stephanie, she has the famous pink bobbed hair and purple head- band and she wears a colourful pink and purple striped dress. She has pale pink tights and bright pink socks as well as her trainers. The character also wears a few bright pink bangles. The facial features don't look that alike with the girl who plays Stephanie but I think that's usually the case with most dolls.
The doll is a nice size and she is easy to hold. She has moveable limbs for her elbows and knees.
The Stephanie doll is also interactive as she can say a few phrases, such as;
Hi I'm Stephanie
There's always a way
I love to move
Get up and go
Bing bing bang and 'im ready to go
Stephanie also laughs.
The voice is the same as Stephanie's and sounds very sweet. When you press the button on Stephanie's chest she is able to say all of the above phrases. As you press the button she will also do a star jump.
You also receive a few accessories with the doll including a bag, stereo ect.
The age range for this doll is 3 +. I think this toy could be played with by children of a younger age, as there are no small pieces considering even the accessories are fairly large.
As I mentioned before I purchased this doll from Asda and it cost £7.99.
This is a lovely little doll and will be a hit for any children who like the series of lazy town.
The adults of LazyTown love to lounge and find inactivity invigorating, while the LazyTown kids are full of energy thanks to the efforts of Sportacus, an athletic superhero who shows them how great being active can be.
