The world is awash with Anakin figures! Luckily, in this guise, he is in his Hayden Christensen phase, which is more than acceptable. We have found Anakin on the cusp of turning into Lord Vader. He has stepped away from the Jedi and towards the dark ways of the Sith. This is a fine collector's figure, celebrating the thirtieth anniversary of Star Wars.
Anakin is one of my favourites, because you get to see the character age and transform throughout the films. This is particularly appealing for fans because the action figures will reflect his changing. This toy is part of the Hasbro range and is a plastic figure. Anakin has been moulded with a keen eye and the attention to detail is impressive.
My favourite feature here is the head. His flowing locks have been handled well and the face echoes the actor's nicely too. The expression is challenging, thoughtful and on the verge of something wild.
His robes have been moulded with plenty of flowing movement to them. I particularly rate the subtle browns and beiges here which do him justice. The curves and pleats bring the outfit to life and also provide Anakin with a beefier stance. You can pose him at the limbs, though leg movement is restricted by his clothes.
Further value has been added to the figure with a coin. Collectors might choose to leave this mounted on the card, but you can detach it and build up a coin collection. Detaching both the toy and coin will devalue the set though, so keep this in mind.
