Now the temptation is to examine him on first glance and think ah yes he's a stormtrooper. There seem to be a lot of Star Wars action figures who look like stormtroopers, but this fellow is in fact a Clone Wars commander. So who is he exactly? Clone Commander Cody is also known as unit 2224, and was a clone trooper serving the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars. He served alongside Obi Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker. You wouldn't necessarily notice him onscreen, but he is a valiant chap whose input should be acknowledged.

Hasbro have produced a rather agreeable action figure of Cody. He looks part spaceman and part stormtrooper. It has to be said, that the figure would not be at the top of my wishlist. His basic colours and uniform looking features do not really excite. In fairness, it is an accurate toy though with the correct colour scheme on his head and body. Small touches of yellow on his viser and shoulders give him an edge and the black trimming is also spot on.

The figure is a little slim for my liking and could have been a tiny bit chunkier looking around the torso. His helmet is smart and sleek though and calls to mind the design work on Boba Fett, maybe he was modelled loosely on this character.

The figure is given extra value with a host of fine weaponery. Substantial sized blasters and an additional staff enhance a basic looking toy. He actually has some of the best artillery of all the characters. Luckily, you will get a lot of play value out of him, thanks to his moveable limbs. This will allow you to create battle scenarios with the rest of the Clone Wars characters. Expect to pay around ten pounds to get him new boxed.
