      good figure overall

Luke Jedi Knight by Kenner was one of the first action figures I got from the original Star Wars toy collection. Years on down the line, the figure is still being produced, this time by Hasbro and with a few added features.

You can buy so many versions of Luke, I always thought the character was over saturated on the toy market. I mean, how many Lukes does one collector need! The Jedi Knight Luke is Luke decked out in his fatigues from 'Return Of The Jedi.' He confront Jabba in them before facing Vader in the same clothing.

The Hasbro toy is about four inches in height. A good hair match to Hamill's with the mousey look here and a less youthful expression capture the way he was changing when the film came to light. The black robes look sleek and there is sufficient if not underwhelming detail on the torso. The toy lacks the cloak which is a pity as this is a vital part of the clothing in my eyes. On the plus side, it hugs him tightly and the silver buckle on the belt is accurate as are the boots.

He is not visually exciting, so the figure is given some lift with some accessories. I like the sturdy green lighsabre which he grips and the arm clamp, which is a nice little extra. The figure is not quite as pleasing as the Hasbro standard Jedi Knight release, but this toy does offer a few new extras to keep fans happy. The price, at around six pounds is fair and the figure is relatively easy to obtain online. I would not say he is the most desirable Luke on the market, but if you do not own one, this is as good a place to start as any.
