Jedi Master, a member of the Jedi High Council, Stass Allie was a minor character from Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith films. She was leading a military operation on the planet of Saleucami when Order 66 was issued. You can find her also in some external materials, but there is no doubt she is not well-known hero.
The figure from Hasbro is super articulated, it has as many as 14 joints: head, shoulders, elbows, wrists, waist, legs, ankles and knees. Thanks to them Stass is very flexible. Unfortunately, due to disturbed stiff parts of the tunic our Jedi Master is unable to sit. There can also arise some other problems with posing. Anyway, this is nothing important. After some efforts the figure is able to stand securely without additional help.
Allie has got a very nice, soft cloak and a green lightsaber. I feel the cloak is little bit bulky, but remains far better than any plastic wannabe apparel. It represents an unconstrained model without a wire frame inside. Allie's saber fits good into her both hands, so the figure is ready for dynamic actions. The paint application is solid and detailed, especially the head and face satisfy me. You can see a small hole in Stass's belt, but there is nothing to put there. Probably it is a standard place for a (not included) lightsaber hilt.
Stass Allie is only a background character, but if you need a decent Jedi action figures to your collection, this one will be a great choice. A very successful toy!
It's Whoopi Goldberg in a cloak! Well maybe not, but it looks like her. If you follow your Star Wars films then you will be familiar with this character from the film 'Attack Of The Clones.' Allie might only appear briefly, but she is crucial to the film, playing a female Jedi. You do not see many female Jedis and this makes her role even more significant. The character later dies further on in the story, but for a short while, her presence in the film heightens the excitement.
An action figure has been made by Hasbro, part of the Legacy collection. The toy is a plastic figure which stands about four to five inches in height. She might not be a big figure, but the woman has commanding presence. Allie's build has been handled with care and attention and her facial features are a draw. The slim delicate features have been sculptured very well with the right skin tone and a good hair match. I do like the softness of her face and she has an expression of calm about her.
The costume is essentially a cloak, but Hasbro have injected a good amount of texturing onto it to bring it to life. They have steered clear of the older bulkier look and kept her relatively slimline which is accurate. The toy can be posed at all the limbs and she also comes with her very own green lightsabre. The weapon is an integral part of the toy as she is a Jedi and some fans would probably buy just to get the accessory.
She can be bought boxed for about five pounds but loose figures will command slightly less at auction sites. She is certainly one of my favourites simply because there are few female figures and certainly very few black females. This makes her interesting for collectors but also highlights that the Star Wars films do not actually have that many black characters. A solid figure, well made and very appealing for the fans.
