He stands several inches high, towering over his comrades. This is accurate as IG88 is one of the taller droids. His head, arms and legs all move and there is a good stiffness to the joints, which means you can bend him into a range of poses. IG88 was one of the evil bounty hunters from the hit film 'The Empire Strikes Back.' The film came out in 1980 and there were a variety of toys made by toy giant Kenner. One of the action figures was IG88. The original figure was quite well made, with very realistic bodywork and superb attention to detail on his chest. Being a robot, it was important that Kenner captured the metal bodywork well and this was acheived with an authentic grey colour and plenty of lights and crevices on his torso.
