And here have yet another Darth Vader for the collection! There are several Vaders lurking in the Hasbro achives, but you can never have too many..or can you? This is the Saga Legends Vader, which celebrate the best characters from the films with new designs and new packaging. This Vader also comes with a collectable coin.

The figure stands at about four inches in height and makes for an eye catching display piece or as a plaything. He is wearing his customary outfit, the only one he ever wears! Vader is clad head to foot in black robes. His outer layer is his succulent sweeping cloak which wraps around his frame with menace. This cloak has been crafted well and is much more heavy duty than tee old vinyl capes that you got on the Kenner figures in the eighties.

His face has been moulded well too, with pleasing eyes and a neat mouthpiece too. This descends onto his bulky chest section, which is masculine and strapping. Vader benefits from a robust looking chest an sturdy thick thighs which give him ample support. As with most of the figures, you will be able to pose him at the head, the arms and the legs, striking exciting battle poses.

He comes with his electric red lightsabre, which might be quite thin, but is elegant enough and can be gripped in his hands. The silver coin adds to the package. The trouble is, he really is not that much different from Hasbro's other Vader releases, so I must question whether he would be an essential buy. I am inclined to say no, purely because there are enough Vaders already available. The price of this one should be around seven pounds though. Worth buying if you do not have a Darth already.
