This is one of the more unusual toys in the Aliens lineup. I remember getting this figure and being puzzled by it, purely because it does not actually appear in the film. Most of the figures in the range are based on real characters, like Ripley and Bishop and then we have an assortment of aliens who may or may not have been there hidden in the shadows! This fellow was never in the film, a chap called O Malley with an Atax disguise. Basically it's a figure with a strap-on suit, meant to disguise himself as an alien, so he can go into battle with aliens.
The toy can be bought boxed for about ten pounds or loose for about five pounds. The figure is an odd looking man with red hair and a knowing look on his face. His outfit is very futuristic looking and he looks like he could have come from any superhero movie. The figure can be posed at the head, arms and legs before he has disguise on. Be careful of the spikes on the shoulders though, they are quite sharp!
When you strap on his gear, you can put on various pieces of armour onto the torso, arms and legs and build the outfit bit by bit. The parts all strap on well though and when finished, he looks superb. It is a heavy duty suit of armour and very well constructed. The figure balances well too when he has it on, so he will stand up for battle and not fall over.
Despite not appearing in the films, this marine is very intriguing and a definite buy for the fans of the films. He might be tricky to track down in shops these days so search online sites to see if you can find him. A well made toy and great fun!
