Bruce Wayne, Batman, The Dark Night, whatever name you choose, everyone knows who this fellow is, when you see his outline. My brother collects Batman toys and this model of Batman is up there with some of the better action figures. Made by Mattel, the figure comes in at about five inches, putting him in line with the other figures in terms of height.
Moulded from plastic, with a cloth cape, the toy has been designed with children in mind, but likewise, comic book collectors and fans of Batman will want to invest in this toy. He can be posed at all the joints and the joints are all stiff and robust. Twist the head, so Batman can spy on his enemies or bend him over to disguise, while using the cloak.
I love his jawline, which echoes the Bale face and he looks mean and moody and ready to take on almost any foe. The mask has been moulded well and is fixed to the face. He has wonderful design work on his torso with a high level of armour and detail. This adds bulk and depth to his frame and also makes him much more engaging as a display piece. Great manly legs slide into sleek boots giving him a good posture. The cloak is made from a fabric and flows with elegance to the floor.
To add value to the figure, a firing harpoon and clip-on accessory are included. Batman can grip these in either hand. Good mechanism, though teh bright orange could have been made golden or less brash. There are numerous Batman action figures on the market. This comes in at six to seven pounds and represents good value for money. Well made, good features and weapons and good play value too, so thumbs up.
