For Batman collectors, the market is heavily saturated with Batman merchandise and there are a fair few action figures doing the rounds. Having seen and enjoyed 'The Dark Night' I can understand why people would want a replica of the Joker or Heath Ledger as a momento. If you can stomach it and part with twenty five quid, then this toy could be a striking display piece.

The Joker is appropriately attired in wonderful looking robes. The dark green overcoat hangs ominously over his slender frame and he has that air of someone about to carry out a very dubious task. Offset with some startling bright green slacks, the colours work brilliantly together and there is a small amount of articulation going on, though not as much as I would have liked on his coat.

Joker wears neat grey gloves and shoes which complete the ends of his look and add a gentlemanly grace to him. He also sports a hideous purple sweater which jars with the green and makes him look Mika. Luckily, a neat tie detracts from this a bit!

The head is a talking point, he seems slightly hunched over, looking down like he is preparing something evil. His whitened face and grim sneer are sitting with his creepy eyes and slicked greeny looking hair. To finish the figure off, he comes with his large silver carrying case which he can grip. At close to thirty centimetres, the toy is pretty big, maybe too big to have a game with, but all the better for putting on a shelf.

You can pose him at all the joints and recreate positions or have him in standoff with Batman. The price tag is too dear for most, but avid collectors should perk up when they see this large model. Maybe more articulation on the clothing would have been good though.
