~*~*~ Moshi Monsters My Moshi Home ~*~*~

      ~ What is it? ~

This is another must have accessory according to my Moshi mad son. It is a fold out house that comes with a posable Poppet character.

      ~ Price & Availability ~

This is quite widely available from Argos, Toy'r'us, Amazon, John Lewis to name a few places. It has a usual retail price of £39.99 but is on offer on Amazon for £28.80 (Price correct as of 1/12/12). Toy'r'us have it priced at £32.99.

I would recommend that if you do want to buy this then look for a good offer as I personally feel that forty quid is a bit steep.

      ~ My Moshi Home ~

My son has really jumped on the Moshi Monsters fad and all he wanted for his birthday was Moshi related toys, clothes, lunchbags etc. So when he asked for this I was in two minds about it as the reviews I had read pretty much said that it wasn't very good. My hubby commented that it looked like a cheap flimsy toy that would more than likely break within the first few uses, but my son really did want this so in the end I relented and bought it. I did look around for the best price before buying and ended up getting it from Amazon for around £32, I wasn't thrilled about this price as I would have rather him have something that looked worth the money but hey, what can you do! (Except for refuse to give into the fad nonsense! ;o) ).

The house is a playset which opens out so that you can play with the inside of the house. It has a little catch on the side that in theory would keep the playset closed when not in use however the catch is quite flimsy and even the slightest knock will see it flip open, spilling the contents out ... Yet again!

The house has some good features like the interchangeable doors and floors, you simply have to slide them out of their slot and re-position them where you want them. There are also three sticker sheets so you can decorate the house how you would like, there's also slots on the right hand wall where you may want to put up some of the accessories that were included. There's a mirror, picture frame and trees, and also Moshi related items such as the Wheel of Fortune, the Telegroan and a dust bin with a secret!

It comes with a posable Poppet figure which is larger than the usual Moshi Monsters.

You can of course use the Moshi's you already own in this house and it would be a brilliant storage place for them if only it stayed closed!

The overall feel of the playset is quite cheap and flimsy I think. For the price I would expect something of much higher quality but I shouldn't have expected much when I think back to the Tree House he had as a present last Christmas.

If it was made from better quality materials I do think this could make for a really good set.

My 9 year old really enjoys playing with it, he likes to do all the acting out etc, and he does have fun with it but I still don't think it is worth £40!

It's a decent size and measures at a height of 30cm, a width of 40cm and a depth of 13cm.

If your children have asked for this for Christmas I would say to look around for the cheapest price but I would say that goes for anything, but this is really not worth the £40 price tag.

      Thanks for reading :o) x
