Kudu are a type of antelope with very unusual markings which make them hard to spot in the wild for their predators.Kudu have long, slim legs and strikingly large ears. They have a mane running from the back of the head to the base of the tail. The coat is grey-brown and 6-10 white stripes run down the flanks from the middle of the back. During the day the kudu rest in the shade and at night they look for food and water. Since they are dependent on watering holes, in the dry season they roam over large distances. With their large ears they can pick up suspicious sounds from a very long way away.Fun Facts: Their jumping power is amazing: they can jump up to 2 m high and nearly 10 m wide.
