      Very cute

The Schleich range has been in our family for many years now and they have been passed from my sister down to my 2 little girls a few months ago. I remember my sister being given these over a couple if Christmases so she had a lot of play out of them and they are still perfect.

When my sister was little they were bought from Mothercare where to my surprise you can actually still buy them, you can also buy this little guy from Amazon and it is currently priced at £2.89 with free delivery which I think is great value.

The foal is really cute, he is about 7cms in length and not quite so high as long, his markings are not so sharp as the adult zebras with little fuzzy lines in his markings. His face is pretty and detailed and you can see that great care has been taken over getting it just right. He is stood up and his back legs are bandy sticking out rather than being straught as if he is a pretty newborn foal.

Sophie loves looking at the Zebra family as she says that their stripes are a "peter pattern" as they call it at school although in all honesty she does drive me mad sitting there saying "black, white, black, white" all the time. Emily hasn't quite got the idea of a Zebra yet and she keeps playing with him and growling!

I think these animals are fantastic and I am now adding to their range for Christmas, we only have wild animals although you can get farm animals from the range too. The animals are meant for ages 3 and up but my youngest is only 2 and she plays with them without any issues. The animals are great value and very robust, they have been played with loads and there is barely a mark on them. The animals are also educational and we spend times counting legs with Emily and grouping the animals together into families.

These are great toys and will be passed down through the generations so well worth the money.
