Harvey loves his figures, super heroes etc, so when he saw this in Agros he wanted it straight away, at the time Argos had their 3 for 2 offer on just before last christmas so we brought it and put it away in the cupboard for his Christmas. It has got to be the most unplayed with toy my 2 boys own. It retails at around the very shocking price of £25!! It can however be picked up for around £15 in B&M type shops (still too expensive in my opinion).

When we saw it both my 4year and I said 'wow' it looks pretty cool in the box, standing at nearly 13inches high it does look quite impressive.....but thats about it! Spiderman looks exactly like he does in the films in his red and blue outfit on. Spiderman is made from solid plastic and feels very tough and durable, he has been dropped onto our laminate flooring a few times but is still in one piece.
There are 2 buttons located on spidermans back, pressing the buttons shoots the web out from 1 hand and pressing the other button at the back means the web then shoots back out of the other hand. It does make a shooting sound when the buttons are pressed & spidermans head will slightly move when the buttons are pressed but that is literally all spiderman does!!

Spiderman was played with for aprox 5mins on christmas day, my then 13month old liked to carry him around but he was very soon placed on the boys windowseal in their bedroom. While it lools impressive in my boys bedroom that is no good for my son. Hes got a great imagination and comes up with all sorts of games but even with this figure he struggles. We do have 1 of the spiderman playsets which I started to get out for my little boy so that he could play with the 2 together but he just wasn't interested.
My son was very disappointed. And its definitely put me off buying spiderman toys in the future.
My 5 Year old is a big fan of everything and anything Spiderman so when this product came out before his birthday i asked one of his relatives to buy it for him.
The Toy is around 13" tall and features 'web slinging' from it hands which is controlled through moterised buttons on the back of the toy. there are 2 buttons - when you press one the web shoots out of one hand then you press the other button and it shoots out of the other hand.
At the time it had just been released so was £49.99 however i think his grandfather paid a little less. I would recommend that you do not pay more than £30 for the product as it has limited playability.
Apart from the 'web slinging' the toy does not do much else. You can slightly move the legs and arms but the legs are bent in an awkward position which make it difficult to stand up.
As far as the 'Web Slinging' goes, the webs that shoot out do not stick to anything. I was under the impression (before it was purchased) that the discs on the end of the string stick to surfaces however this is not the case. This may have been a feature that they might have wanted to add seen as though the original advertisement made it seem as if it did that.
My Son has had limited play of this toy and although it is a 'cool' toy to show to all his friends it has barely been used.
Overall if i knew what the toy was like beforehand i would have probably chosen another toy for his grandad to buy him for his birthday. This is a shame because i really think that it could have been a really good toy if some things were made differently.
The only positive thngs are that it is a large solid toy and has good detail to make it look realistic to spiderman.
