      lovely toy

This is a bad guy who is not widely discussed in the Thundercats universe. The evil Driller was a servant to Mumm Ra and aided in the capture of Panthro in one episode. Driller was deemed significant enough to be turned into an action figure by toymaker JJN in the eighties. An interesting choice, considering he did not get much screentime. The toy stands at about five inches in height and the first thing that you will notice is his rich purple colours. His colour scheme differs from all the other figures in the range which instantly makes him stand out. I love the balance of purples and mauves and think his colour scheme is a very accurate depiction. His menacing face has strong emotion behind it. He appears to be staring at you with punishing eyes and a fierce loathsome face. His silver drilling head is shaped just like a drill-bit and could easily prod you in the eye quite hard! As we move down his rippling torso, you will meet feisty muscles and beefy arms which give him great build. His lower body is most intriguing, shaped like a drill, you can actually move it in a swivel action, a bit like a drill and watch him quake and spin as it returns to shape. This is a splendid add on feature to the toy. He has been made really well, with chunky plastic and robust features, so there is little danger of him snapping quickly. The toy can be picked up loose for a few quid, but trying to find a boxed Driller might be hard as they are in short supply. I think he is very worthwhile purchase for action figure collectors, unique and rare enough to spark excitement in any avid toy collector.
