Vivid Imaginations WWE Deluxe Figures: Big Show

Rating:

Advantages: A true representation of the character.

Disadvantages: Doesn't seem to be tall enough, compared to other figures.

Just recently my 5 year old son has shown a preference for wrestling rather than Ben10, which was the previous fad, so after deciding he would quite like some of the merchandise to go with the programme, here I am reviewing it!

The figure in question is - "The big show".

Now I have been a wrestling fan myself for more years than I care to remember, with my husband getting really excite when he see's the vintage programmes, especially one's from the 80's era, so when Connor decided he wanted this stuff, my hubby was more than happy!

Each wrestler (and until going to Argos to get it, was gob smacked by just how many there are to buy!0, comes housed within there own rigid plastic, see through box, which is literally emblazoned with the "WWE" logo, for none wrestling fans this stands for world wrestling entertainment, changing from foundation years ago a mix up with the better known "WWF", the animal variety!

Without risking myself sounding too sexist, this really is aimed at little boy's, from the identical facial expressions, to the endless rippling muscles, even down to the tattoo's the real wrestlers have, Connor's undertaker figure is part plastic part paint with just how many tattoo's it has on it!

The big show, which is a wrestler that has been around for quite some time now, is one of my son's favourites, which is not surprising that he cut's such a dominant figure within the WWE as he is in reality nearly 7ft tall.

Though the figure doesn't really represent the true difference in size, with this being around the same size as most of the other figure's available, though the much shorter figures are represented by much smaller figures, which does baffle me!?

The figure itself is made from moulded plastic, and has full moveable arms and legs, prefect for giving the child a chance to re-create their favourite stars signature wrestling moves, and they all have one!

This figure is dressed in the same manner as the wrestling star, and really does look like him, though the face does seem to be slightly more aggressive looking!

This has loads of play, and has been dropped, thrown and even stood a coupe of times, and is still going strong, so for the £8.99 I paid for it is a bargain.

These are available from www.argos.co.uk for the above price, but are available from www.amazon.co.uk but tend to vary greatly in price, so for a toy to be played with rather than a collectors item I would veer towards the Argos option.

This is a nice toy, that though not representative size wise is still a loved and well played with toy, recommended.

Thanks for reading x
