... flew with Ryanair a couple of weeks ago for the first time and was somewhat sceptical about what I would experience based on reviews I had heard previously. We flew from Stansted to Marseille and I have to say we were pleasently suprised! We only took hand luggage for a 4 day trip away so not much needed, the 10kg weight limit for hand luggage is more than enough and I didn t even use half of this weight! The whole process was very painless from booking, we booked the flights out to Marseille for £1 each, although the flights back were somewhat more expensive, we managed the whole round trip for less than £100 including fees for the two of us. ... .. I used to think Lufthansa were great! im not so sure now. I have flown with lufthansa three times.. here are my experiances for each. Lufthansa to Bangkok 2001= this was my firt flight with lufthansa and was a great experience, the plane was not full but i still only got one seat and the staff were extremely friendly and helpfull .. seats were comfy and we had personal televisions and radios along with two very nice meals. It was one of those flights where 11 or 12 hours felt like about 5 .. 5 stars for this! ... flew with ryanair for the first time the other weekend and was pleasently supprised! My trip was from stanstead to florence and i had heard previously the the budget airline were known for grabbing as much cash as possible. The first issue i came across was the carry on luggage size! i paid the extra £20 for my girlfriends bag to be checked in but was certain i could carry everything in needed for a long weekend away in a backpack .. then i found out how strict their carry on restrictions were! they have the smallest dimensions allowed i had ever seen which meant i had to buy a new bag to fit or fork out £30 to check it in on the day! i got a bag from argos for £9.99 ...
