... is one of the smaller European Airlines. They are based in Romania and are the largest carrier for internal flight in that country, in addition to linking Bucharest to few destinations in Europe and the middle east and Israel. I flew with Tarom from London to Bucharest and then from there to tel Aviv and then the same route on the way way. I stopped one week in Romania on business and went from Romania to Greece. For the flights from Romania to Greece I used Olympic Airways, who also fly from Athens to Tel Aviv. It was cheaper to do the route coming back to Bucharest, than flying from Athens straight into Tel Aviv, if I wanted to come back to London from Tel Aviv. ...

... is the Romanian airline and it has a relatively limited network of routes from Bucharest and within Romania. I happened to use Tarom last year since I was assigned to Romania for busines purposes, I flew to Bucharest with BA, but used Tarom internally to fly to Cluj Napoica and Sibiu. My experience is therefore limited to Tarom nationally. The flights to these 2 cities are less than one, literally the time to go up and come down. On these planes there is very little space for luggages, so when you arrive at the feet of the plane, you leave your hand luggage to the staff who will store it in the plane and then you pick it up upon arrival. I never had any problems...

... was on about five round trip tarom flights. All were on time with decent service and food. Four flights were from New York JFK to Bucharest OTP, one from Bucharest OTP to Berlin. When flying from New York to Bucharest they are the best option. The Berlin flight was sort of expensive but had good service. The food was the best airline food I had. The movies were allways good. Unlimited soft drinks and beer were allways a plus. ...
