Air 2000

In January 2004 we flew from Teesside Airport to Grenoble (France) (flight AMM 591C) where we were going skiing for a week. Ok, it was dissapointing that we got a 4 hour delay on the outward journey, but considering it happens most times I fly, I've began to accept that its just a fact of life, and that we all can be late and things break down! We were issued with £5.00 vouchers to get a meal from the food court, but we went to the Airport Bar which did bar meals, and much better value for money! This is an extract of a letter sent to Air 2000 recently. My husband, was taken ill shortly after take-off. He appeared to faint and the crew asked if there was a doctor on board. A nurse, responded to their call and she attempted to take his blood pressure. She said that it was virtually impossible to do this with the stethoscope & cuff provided and I heard her say to the cabin crew supervisor that it would be advisable to have BP monitors so that the readings could be read rather than relying on the stethoscope. I have only flown once with Air 2000 on a 4 hour flight to Gran Canaria from Birmingham. On this route they use the B757-200 which is a moderately sized aircraft. The first thing we noticed when we got on board was that there was very little legroom (i'm 6 foot 2) and all though I appreeciate that I may be above average height my relatives who where several inches shorter had the same problem. The entertainment was good with the ususl tv and radio channels. However, to enjoy these you needed a pair of headphones that they sold at a reasonable price. I flew with my parents(I am a teen) on the Bristol-Corfu and Corfu-Bristol route for a two weeks holiday. It was the best airline by miles. (Not plane miles!) The Planes Both Planes were A321 planes which were really spotless. Although I am a plane fan I didn't look at the reg- silly me! Their planes have a great colourful pattern on them. The Seats Well it was the same as all the other charter airlines-MyTravel, Britannia, JMC the lot! It was slightly cramped although they did offer Premium on the A321(the A321 and B767 only have premium)we didn't think about having it. We went with Air 2000 to Greece. On the way out to Crete in Greece we took off 20 minutes early but on the return journey we left 10 minutes late. With Air 2000 you do not get a lot of leg room. We felt quite cramped. We could buy ear phones though and watch films which was nice. We found that the cabin staff were kept very busy and probably had too much to do as when they spoke to people they were very blunt and not at all customer friendly.
